About Our Pallet Wrap and Strapping
Our pallet wrap, also known as stretch film, and pallet strapping are the last line of defence between your goods and everything that can go wrong between the warehouse and the customer. Shifting loads, moisture, dust, handling damage, and on longer export journeys repeated loading and unloading, stretch film wraps tightly around a palletised load to hold everything in place and seal out moisture and dirt.
Strapping will add a second layer of tension-holding strength on top which is ideal for heavier, denser or irregular shaped loads.
At PEC Packaging, we supply hand pallet wrap for manual, flexible applications, machine pallet wrap for semi-automatic and automatic wrapping systems and also PP and PET strapping for medium and heavy-duty load securing. Types of Pallet Wraps and Strappings Available
Hand Pallet Wrap
Supplied on rolls for manual use. Suits low and medium volume packing, mixed or irregular loads and sites wrapping in more than one location.
Machine Pallet Wrap
Stretch film for semi-automatic and automatic wrapping equipment.
Plastic Strapping PP and PET
Cost-effective strapping for lighter and medium-duty loads.
Choosing Pallet Wrap and Strapping
The right choice depends on load volume, weight and how far it’s pallet is travelling. As a general guide:
- Low-volume or mixed loads are best with hand pallet wrap
- Big volumes or repeat dispatches are best with machine pallet wrap
- Heavy or high-value loads (metals, timber, machinery, export crates): stretch film plus PP or PET strapping
- Long transit, storage or export shipments: PET strapping

What’s the difference between hand pallet wrap and machine pallet wrap? 
Hand pallet wrap is applied manually from a handheld roll and it’s for lower-volume or irregular loads. Machine pallet wrap is applied by wrapping equipment and it’s used for higher volume operations.
Should I use PP or PET strapping?
PP suits lighter and medium-duty loads at lower cost. PET has higher tensile strength and holds tension longer, for heavier or higher-value loads and longer transit or storage periods. Don’t worry if you’re unsure, just get in touch with us and we can advise.
Can pallet wrap and strapping be used together?
Yes. Film protects against dust and moisture and strapping adds some extra load retention.
Do you supply pallet wrap and strapping for export shipments?
Yes we do. Alongside our timber cases, crates and ISPM 15 packaging.
What pallet types is your pallet wrap and strapping compatible with?
Timber pallets, plastic pallets and export pallets.
Can I order it as part of a wider packaging job?
