At PEC Packaging, we are proud to be considered one of the UK’s leading glass packaging manufacturers.
We have supplied some of the UK’s largest glass manufacturers, including Pilkington for over 30 years and Saint-Gobain for over 20 years.
Our growing fleet supplies A-frames across the country, from Glasgow down to Kent. We cover the full length of the UK, with export packaging services also available.
All glass stillages and A-frame systems are manufactured in our Liverpool warehouse. Each packaging product is built using heavy-duty timber materials to maintain structural integrity, load stability, and compliance for both domestic distribution and international shipping. Every unit is built around the weight profile, dimensions, and transport method of your product, not pulled from stock.
Alongside manufacturing packaging systems, our team also redesigns existing packaging to improve warehouse efficiency, handling safety, transport protection and long-term durability.
Our A-frames and glass stillages are built for the safe handling, storage and transport of glass, windows and other sheet materials.
Every A-frame will be designed to give maximum stability and protection, whether it’s being moved around the UK or shipped overseas. We can provide standard A-frames or fully custom glass stillages built to your exact measurements and load requirements. If you’re unsure which option is best, our team is on hand to guide you.
We don’t just provide A-frame and glass stillages. We can offer a full range of glass packaging solutions for whatever you need to be transported.
From standard and bespoke A-Frames, End Caps, Glass Crates, Timber Dunnage, Cardboard Glass Packaging, and specialist windscreen packaging solutions, we can offer a wide range of glass packaging products for different purposes.
Custom branding is also available on your packaging using stencil application.
For additional peace of mind, we also independently weight test our packaging with certification available where required.
Prototype samples can also be provided, as required, before full production begins.

Many of our clients are long-standing, and we’re proud to say that the majority of our new enquiries come through word of mouth, as we currently supply packaging systems to some of the UK’s largest glass manufacturers, processors and distributors nationwide.
We understand both the realities of timber manufacturing and industrial transport. We build handling systems that protect high-value materials from workshop to installation site.
Export glass stillages must comply with international standards. Rest assured, we manufacture export-grade timber stillages using heat-treated or kiln-dried timber that meets ISPM-15 regulations. This ensures your shipments pass customs requirements and reduces the risk of delays at ports.
For container shipping, we can also optimise stillage dimensions to maximise load efficiency within standard 20ft or 40ft containers.
The correct A-frame design will depend on:
We will calculate timber grade, base depth and bracing configuration according to your requirements.
The completed packaging is also independently weight tested with certification available upon request.
All glass stillages are produced at our Liverpool facility and delivered throughout the UK. We can ensure fast turnaround times, accurate control over specific dimensions and a reliable repeat production and clear communication during any adjustments needed.
For businesses operating on tight schedules, dependable lead times are essential. Because we do all manufacturing in-house, we can maintain quality control from raw timber selection through to final assembly.

Many glass stillages are reused multiple times across projects, which helps reduce long-term packaging costs. Our construction methods prioritise durability under repeated forklift handling and long-distance transport.
Reinforced bases, structural cross-bracing and protective contact linings increase service life and reduce long-term packaging costs. For clients running return systems, we can advise on designs that balance strength with manageable weight.
Repairs can also be carried out on existing A-frames where required. Alongside our refurbishment services, this helps extend packaging lifespan and reduce replacement costs.
